Vital Healthcare provides training and education to prepare students for Nursing Assistant Certification through the Washington State Department of Health. Nurse Aids are a vital part of the healthcare team, and their role demands both competence and compassion. Our 116-hour NAC training program seeks to develop nursing assistants who recognize the significance of the professional role they want to play while supporting the human needs of the individuals they serve.

The NAC training program is 116 hours of instruction delivered over 4 weeks. It is designed to meet the objectives for standards of practice and competencies for nursing assistants according to the Washington State Administrative Code (WAC-246-841-100).
These standards of practice and competencies include skills and knowledge as well as observable, measurable behaviors in the following areas:
Basic technical skills
Personal skills
Mental Health and social service needs
Care of cognitively impaired residents
Basic restorative services
Client or resident rights and promotion of independence
